South Florida To Welcome Its First Public CNG Fueling Station June In Time for $4000 Tax Credit
Friday, July 02, 2010

Tallahassee, FL, July 2, 2010:  May was a month of “firsts” for natural gas transportation initiatives on both a federal and state level. In addition to announcing a $4,000 Federal Income Tax Credit for the 2010 Ford Focus natural gas converted vehicle, construction of South Florida’s first CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) public fueling station is underway.

Located in Miami Gardens, FL, the station will be open for business as early as July 2010, featuring quick-fill self-service dispensers and both credit card and fleet card readers. According to CNGas Group, Corp, this will be the first of many South Florida locations.

The news is nicely timed with Ford Focus’ $4,000 tax credit, which is the largest Grant amount earned by an American-made CNG vehicle to date. Running exclusively on natural gas, this Environmental Protection Association (EPA) approved vehicle meets the most stringent emission standards and can result in significant fuel savings. The tax credit is available to households, businesses and municipalities, starting immediately.
