FNGA Wins the AIA’s Allied Member of the Year Award
Monday, August 20, 2007

After more than a decade of creative support and partnership, the Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Architects presented the Florida Natural Gas Association with it’s coveted Allied Member of the Year Award for 2007.

Dan Swanson of Florida Gas Transmission and perennial guiding light within the FNGA’s Marketing Committee is shown accepting the award from Ray Lavole of TECO -PGS and Viven Salaga, Past President of the AIA,  at the AIA’s prestigious Annual Awards Banquet in Orlando.

The FNGA supports the AIA enthusiastically every year as architects are considered the first gatekeepers and prime target in the new construction market for commercial, industrial and residential natural gas installations.

The Annual AIA Convention draws approximately 400-500 architects from all over Florida each year. The Trade Show features over 100 vendors and suppliers to the building and architecture industry. Each year the FNGA presents a GAS 101 style presentation for credits toward Continuing Education for Architects and displays the latest technology in the industry at the booth. The FNGA has generated a wealth of publicity with their annual Great Gas Grill Giveaway – which is typically the last moment of each show.
